EDOFEWMA is committed to protecting the environment through the development and implementation of policies and regulations that promote sustainable land use, water management, and conservation efforts. Our environmental protection policies aim to minimize the adverse impacts of floods, erosion, and watershed degradation on ecosystems and biodiversity.

EDOFEWMA develops and implements disaster risk management strategies to enhance community resilience and reduce vulnerability to natural hazards such as floods and erosion. Our strategies include early warning systems, emergency response plans, and community-based disaster preparedness initiatives to safeguard lives and property.

EDOFEWMA promotes sustainable development initiatives that integrate environmental considerations into development planning and decision-making processes. Through partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and communities, we support projects and initiatives that foster economic growth while preserving natural resources and mitigating environmental risks.

EDOFEWMA implements watershed management programs aimed at restoring and protecting watersheds to ensure a sustainable supply of clean water for communities and ecosystems. Our programs focus on watershed conservation, reforestation, soil erosion prevention, and community engagement to promote sustainable water resource management.

EDOFEWMA undertakes infrastructure development projects to improve flood control, erosion control, and water management infrastructure in Edo State. These projects include the construction of drainage systems, erosion control structures, and flood embankments to reduce the risk of floods and erosion and enhance community resilience.

EDOFEWMA conducts capacity building workshops and awareness campaigns to educate communities, government agencies, and stakeholders on flood and erosion risks, disaster preparedness, and sustainable environmental management practices. Through these initiatives, we empower individuals and communities to take proactive measures to mitigate risks and build resilience.

EDOFEWMA collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, academia, and the private sector, to leverage resources, expertise, and networks in addressing the challenges of floods, erosion, and watershed degradation. Our partnerships facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation, and coordinated action to achieve common goals.
